Food and gastronomy have been part of my life since I was 9 years old. As the granddaughter of a cook, I’ve always been curious about ingredients, recipes, and preparation methods. Over the past 3 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work professionally in the field—1 year working on breakfast service at accommodations, and the last 2 years leading a kitchen specializing in local and Mediterranean gastronomy along the coast of Bahia. I’m passionate about Brazilian cuisine and local ingredients. I was a vegetarian for 8 years, which also gave me experience with that kind of cooking.
